How to Manage Your Artist Information
Spotify, iTunes, and other streaming services or download shops do not control artists’ bios and information themselves; they pull their information from the AllMusic database. AllMusic is a metadata company providing music info about albums, musicians and songs. AllMusic database has over 30 million tracks. Music information on AllMusic comes from a data provider called Rovi. So providing your own data to Rovi is the best way to get your information on AllMusic (and on Spotify, on iTunes, etc.). To get yourself listed in the Rovi database, you can send all your products such as promotion materials, artist bios, press releases, artist images, cover arts (in JPG format and at least 300 pixels wide) etc. to the address: content.music@rovicorp.com Once Rovi has received your music, it will take about 4-6 weeks for it to appear on AllMusic. Find out more about product submission on AllMusic.com. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact our label managers.
