Interview: Federherz Verlag

1. What Does an Author Need to Be Accepted Into Your Publishing Programme?

To be accepted into our publishing programme, an author must first and foremost have a passion for
writing. We scrutinise every manuscript with the same care, whether it’s from a published author or
a debut author.

2) What Distinguishes Your Company From Others?

There are a number of things that set us apart from other publishers. Probably the most important is
that we work very closely with authors, communicating openly and responding to requests – be it for
a cover, a blurb or a new book idea. What’s more, you don’t have to go through an agency to be
published by us – you can simply submit your manuscript via a form on our website. Personal contact
is important to us right from the start, as we want to get to know the person behind the manuscript.
You can find an introduction to each author on our Instagram page.

3) What Is Most Important to You When Working With Your Authors?

As we are passionate about making the publishing process and book launch as enjoyable as possible
for the author, communication is very important to us. We put a lot of work and heart into every
single book project, whether the author has published 10 books with us or it’s their first. That’s why
we want the same commitment from the author. In general, a harmonious and equal working
relationship is important to us.
