We would like to introduce you to Spotify’s marketing tool, Discovery Mode. As a Feiyr user, you can take advantage of this feature provided by Spotify.
Discovery Mode in Spotify for Artists gives artists & their teams the opportunity to influence the personalization algorithm in select personalized listening contexts. When Discovery Mode is turned on, it increases the likelihood – but does not guarantee – that songs reach listeners in these contexts. Participants are able to turn Discovery Mode on or off for any track that is eligible.
It is important to Spotify that the fan likes the music. They take into account when a song is not being interacted with – both in discovery mode and in general – and adjust further recommendations accordingly.
Discovery Mode doesn’t require an upfront budget. Instead, a 30% commission is applied to recording royalties generated from all streams of selected songs in Discovery Mode contexts – Spotify Radio and Autoplay. All other streams of selected songs outside of Spotify Radio and Autoplay remain commission-free.
