1) SOCIAL MEDIA
Use social media to make connections. On Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube etc. you can easily reach a wide audience, get feedback from your readers, spy on your competitors 😉 and much more. Choose the right social media platform for you, your book and your target audience and be social 🙂
2) SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION
Many books are released each year; therefore, you need to make your own product page findable and desirable. Use keywords in your product description to boost your book’s online visibility. Google Trends can help you get started.
3) PRESS RELEASES

4) LIBRARY EVENTS & BOOK FAIRS
Go to as many library events as you can. Why? Because you can combine learning and networking in a single day (or weekend). The Self-Publishing Day in Hamburg could be a good occasion, for example. We will be there too, so don’t miss it!
5) CONTACT DETAILS
Always include your contact information, so journalists and booksellers can easily find you. You can also create a marketing kit with information about your product.
One last tip – network with your readers and make them happy! You can give away signed copies of your books, organize readings or create a blog where you offer writing tips.
