What Made You Decide to Become a Writer?
Actually, I originally wanted to be a graphic designer. That was after I trained as a hotel manager, but I’ve always had this creative streak in me. I was always drawing and had lots of ideas.
Maybe it’s because my head was always full of ideas that I wanted to write stories.

To be honest, I’ve never really had writer’s block.
I only write when I really like an idea and I’m convinced of it.

Feedback from readers is very important to me.
After all, they are the ones who decide whether my book is good or not.
How Much Research Do You Do Before You Start Writing?
Since my stories come from my imagination, it doesn’t take much research.
But the illustrations are the part that really take up a lot of time and sometimes drive me crazy.
I often work for days and pull all nighters.

The names of my characters usually come up as the story progresses.
With children’s books, it’s important to me that the names sound friendly and don’t scare people.

In the beginning, writing was quite difficult for me as my main expertise is more in design.
But over time it has become easier to get the stories out of my head and onto paper.
I’m now more precise and revise the text much more thoroughly before starting the illustrations.
