Needless to say, first you have to register an account with Tumblr – if you do not have one already. You can sign up here. Because this makes it easier for your fans to find you on Tumblr and for purposes related to Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

On Tumblr, you can create pages for your blog. In addition to Tumblr’s default pages, you should add an “About Us” page. Here you can write your bio and post links to your website, to your social media profiles or to your YouTube channel, so that your followers can listen to your music.

After setting up your page, you need to attract traffic. How?

Respond to every message you receive. Start conversations with people who reach out to you is an excellent way to show commitment to your fans.

Post frequently, at least once a day. No time for that? No problem, on Tumblr, you can queue up to 300 posts for posting at a later date. You can set the posting frequency directly from the Dashboard.

Be creative. Do you see the toolbar saying Text, Photo, Quote, Link, Chat, Audio, and Video? You do, right? Well, make the most out of it and create original content for your blog. Hashtag your posts and customize your profile by clicking on “Settings” in the dropdown menu where you can edit appearance and theme of your profile.
